Trim Levels (Exterior)
The 2022 Ford Bronco Sport is available in four trim levels, which are Base, Big Bend, Outer Banks, and Badlands. All four of the trim levels have a manual liftgate, flip-up rear glass, safari-style roof, two adjustable floodlights on the liftgate, and a bottle opener in the hatch. The Outer Banks and the Badlands have a shadow black roof. The Base and the Big Bend have outer door handles molded in black, while the Outer Banks and the Badlands have outer door handles molded in with the color of the vehicle you choose.
With the Badlands trim level, it also has metal bash plates and front tow hooks.
Engine (Power)
Underneath the hood of the Base, Big Bend, and Outer Banks, you'll find a 1.5-liter Eco-Boost Engine with auto start and stop technology. The Badlands trim level has a 2.0-liter Eco-Boost Engine with auto start and stop technology. All four trim levels have post-collision braking and an electric parking brake. As for the transmission, each trim level has an eight-speed automatic transmission. All four trim levels have an electric power-assisted steering system. You have the option to add a package to each trim level for an engine block heater.
Performance
Ford built the 2022 Ford Bronco Sport to perform. For the brakes on each trim level, there are four-wheel disc brakes with an anti-lock brake system. Each trim also offers Ford Co-Pilot360 Technology with electronic traction control. In the Big Bend, Outer Banks, and Badlands, the Ford Co-Pilot360 Technology also offers adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go and lane centering, with speed sign recognition and rear parking sensors as an add-on package.
Interior
Inside the vehicle in each trim level, you'll find a center floor console with an armrest, a center console with a convenient media bin, and cargo tie-down carabiner hooks and loops. In the Base trim, there are six cup holders, and in the Big Bend, Badlands, and Outer Banks, there are eight cup holders. For interior lighting, there are front and rear map lights in each trim level. The Outer Banks trim level also offers ambient lighting in addition to the map lights.
All trim levels have six speakers, but the Big Bend, Outer Banks, and Badlands trim levels offer a subscription to SiriusXM Satellite Radio.
Safety Features
If you're concerned about the safety of yourself and your passengers while you're out on the road, the 2022 Ford Bronco Sport has you covered. With the air bags in all four trim levels, there is a personal safety system, driver and front-row passenger dual-stage, driver knee air bag, front seat-mounted side-impact air bags, and a safety canopy system. The safety canopy system has a front- and second-row safety canopy side-curtain with a rollover sensor. The Sport Base comes with a miniature spare tire.
If you want a full-size spare tire option, you can add this package on with the Big Bend and Outer Banks, while the Badlands has a full-size tire with the trim level.
